Saskatchewan stayed in it until the end, but (A) Québec pulled away late in a 6-3 victory on Sunday. The game was tied at two with (A) Québec batting in the top of the sixth when Antoine Vermette singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.
Saskatchewan got things started in the first inning. Jayden Sparks drove in one when Sparks singled.
Zachary Clement was credited with the victory for (A) Québec. The bulldog lasted six and two-thirds innings, allowing four hits and three runs while striking out two. Maxime Decariethrew one-third of an inning in relief out of the bullpen.
Maddix Mathies took the loss for (A) Saskatchewan. Mathies surrendered three runs on five hits over five and a third innings, striking out three.
Joel Bauml led (A) Saskatchewan with two hits in four at bats.
Louis-Charles Larouche went 2-for-4 at the plate to lead (A) Québec in hits.
