Regina Wolfpack U18 win Gold at Westerns !



Karter Scott drove in four runs on one hit to lead Regina Wolfpack AAA 18U past South Central 18U AAA 8-5 on Sunday in Winnipeg, Manitoba.

Scott hit a home run to left field in the sixth inning, scoring two runs, and hit a sacrifice fly in the seventh inning, scoring two.

Regina Wolfpack AAA 18U opened the scoring in the second after Lucas Bzdel hit a solo home run to left field.

Regina Wolfpack AAA 18U added one run in the third. Bo Cowan singled, making the score 2-0.

Brayden Fehr walked, which helped South Central 18U AAA tie the game at two in the bottom of the fourth.

In the top of the sixth, Regina Wolfpack AAA 18U broke up the tie when Scott homered to left field, scoring two runs. Then a single by Adam Newton followed to extend the lead to 5-2.

Nathan Yunick led things off on the bump for Regina Wolfpack AAA 18U. The righty surrendered seven hits and two runs over four innings, striking out two and walking two. Jackson Friesen started the game for South Central 18U AAA. The starting pitcher surrendered eight hits and five runs over six innings, striking out five and walking none. Tristan Eberle appeared in relief for Regina Wolfpack AAA 18U.

Regina Wolfpack AAA 18U tallied 10 hits in the game. Alec Deringer, Cowan, Thomas Stawarz, and Bzdel each collected two hits for Regina Wolfpack AAA 18U. Regina Wolfpack AAA 18U turned one double play in the game.

South Central 18U AAA piled up 10 hits in the game. Karsten Peters led South Central 18U AAA with three hits in four at bats. JT Martine collected two hits for South Central 18U AAA in four at bats.
